FAQs
We are a concierge-style virtual clinic that provides personalized care combining functional, integrative, and evidence-based medicine. Our services include primary care, hormone optimization, weight management, functional medicine, IV therapy, peptide therapy, and more—designed to treat the whole person, not just symptoms.
We currently serve patients in Texas, Florida, New York, Hawaii, Oregon, Washington, California, Colorado, Nevada, and Vermont.
We offer convenient virtual consultations for most of our services so you can receive care from the comfort of your home. We also offer in-person visits at our Sugar Land, TX location.
Most of our services are offered via secure telehealth. Some treatments, such as IV therapy, may require in-person visits with a qualified provider partner.
Email us any time at hello@carebyalex.com, please allow 24-48 hours replies.
We are also available by phone or text message during business hours at 855-305-2539.
We are also available for established patients for non-urgent questions through secure messaging in the Patient Portal.
We care for adults of all ages who are looking for a personalized, holistic approach to their health. Whether you’re managing a chronic condition, seeking hormone balance, looking to lose weight, or just want to feel your best—we’re here for you.
Functional medicine is a patient-centered approach that focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of illness rather than just treating symptoms. It integrates both traditional and holistic methods for lasting wellness.
While we can treat many conditions virtually, some may require an in-person evaluation, such as:
Chest pain or difficulty breathing
Severe injuries or bleeding
Procedures like wound care or IUD placement
Diagnostic imaging (X-rays, ultrasounds)
We can provide telehealth consultations, wellness and preventive care, non-restricted prescriptions, lifestyle and nutrition support, and coordination with your other providers. However, state regulations do limit certain services we can offer directly.
We are unable to order certain specialty and functional laboratory tests due to state laboratory licensing rules.
We are unable to prescribe compounded sterile medications, including some compounded GLP-1 medications for weight management.
We’ll work with you to find alternatives, which may include:
Ordering the labs through your primary care provider or another licensed in-state provider
Using in-state laboratories that offer similar testing
Exploring FDA-approved, commercially available medications from retail pharmacies
We will still provide a complete care plan and guide you through all available options to ensure you receive safe, effective, and compliant care tailored to your needs.
You can schedule online through our Booking page or by contacting us directly. Once you book, you’ll receive an email with your intake forms and telehealth link.

We are self-pay only.
We do not accept insurance at this time.
However, if you have insurance and prescription coverage, any prescribed medications may still be covered depending on your individual plan.
By not billing insurance, we're able to spend more time with each patient, provide truly personalized care, and offer treatments that go beyond the limitations of traditional insurance-based models. This allows us to focus on root-cause healing and whole-person wellness without the constraints of rushed appointments or insurance restrictions.
We can provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement but can not guarantee reimbursement.
